What is Cultural Responsiveness?
Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) is a research-based approach that makes meaningful connections between what students learn in school and their cultures, languages, and life experiences. These connections help students feel valued and empowered, access rigorous curriculum, and develop higher-level academic skills.
This detailed drama work when entering the life of a character has allowed me to think and empathize more deeply, and more importantly, to better understand the perspectives of others in my daily life.
Mrs. G came in day one with a positive attitude and passion for change. In drama class she was able to involve all students no matter what their theatre background was. She did so by creating relationships with each and every one of us.
